Moulds first, then parts
Our story begins in a precision machine shop. That is why, when we mould a part, we know how the mould that produces it is built.
It all begins in 1971 with the family company: design and manufacture of moulds from the drawing and the prototype, joined in 1984 by plastic injection moulding. In 1986 M.T.M. S.r.l. is founded, with turning, milling and grinding of precision parts; in 2013 it takes in the family moulding shop and precision toolroom and brings the two lines of experience under one roof.
Today injection moulding is our main activity: on 18 presses from 50 to 160 tonnes we produce precision parts, including very small ones, for leading long-established Italian and international companies and for new emerging businesses, keeping pace with developments in home automation and LED lighting, from small batches to large runs.
The in-house toolroom has remained, and it is our advantage: a precision machine shop specialising in the manufacture, repair and modification of moulds and dies. Starting from the drawing of the part we study its critical points, then we design, build, sample and repair the moulds, with operations and lead times we control directly. For the customer this means maximum precision, a single point of contact and shorter lead times.

On 12 December 1986 M.T.M. S.r.l. is founded: turning, milling and grinding of precision parts. The attention to detail we bring to moulding today comes from here.

The second generation
The second generation of the family joins the company.

The moulding shop and the precision toolroom of the family company join M.T.M.: the two lines of experience come together and the second generation takes over.
